Jeremy Darroch

Jeremy Darroch

Chief Executive

Jeremy Darroch was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a Director of the Company on 16 August 2004. On 7 December 2007, Jeremy was appointed CEO of the Company and relinquished the role of CFO. Jeremy joined DSG International plc (DSG), formerly Dixons Group plc, in January 2000 as Retail Finance Director, rising to the position of Group Finance Director in February 2002. Prior to DSG, Jeremy spent 12 years at Procter & Gamble in a variety of roles in the UK and Europe. Jeremy is a Non-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Marks & Spencer Group plc.

Deborah Baker

Deborah Baker

Director for People

Deborah leads Sky’s HR team including Talent Management, Reward and Recognition, Business HR, HR services, Health and Safety and Occupational Health. Deborah joined Sky in December 2007 from Burberry where she was Senior Vice President, Human Resources Worldwide, responsible for all HR issues across the group. She spent the early part of her career in roles at companies including Ford Motor Company, Schlumberger and Grand Metropolitan and went on to work in the retail, distribution and wholesale sectors, focusing particularly on turnaround situations.

James Conyers

James Conyers

General Counsel

James Conyers became our General Counsel in September 2005, responsible for all legal and regulatory affairs across the group. He joined Sky’s legal department in April 1993, becoming Deputy Head of Legal and Business Affairs in 1998 and Head of Legal and Business Affairs in 2005.

Mike Darcey

Mike Darcey

Chief Operating Officer

Mike Darcey was appointed Chief Operating Officer in November 2006. His responsibilities include group strategy, business development, advertising sales, relationships with third party channel providers, syndication of Sky content to non satellite platforms, joint venture channel partnerships and Sky's commercial online activities. He sits on the boards of National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) and Nickelodeon UK and is aTrustee of the Royal Television Society. Prior to joining Sky in 1998, Mike was an economic advisor for 11 years, working across a wide range of industries with a particular focus on entertainment and telecommunications.

Barney Francis

Barney Francis

Managing Director, Sky Sports

Barney Francis became Managing Director of Sky Sports in July 2009. He is responsible for Sky Sports output across five core sports channels and three HD services, as well as online and mobile content. Barney has been in television for 16 years working in terrestrial, multi-channel and independent production. He has been at Sky for the last ten years, producing a range of live coverage, support programming and sports news content. As Sky’s executive producer for cricket for six years he was responsible for Sky’s first exclusively live coverage of England’s domestic Tests, before moving on to Premier League and UEFA Champions League production.

Andrew Griffith

Andrew Griffith

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew Griffith was appointed as CFO and a Director of the Company on 7 April 2008. Andrew joined Sky in October 1999 and held a number of finance roles prior to his appointment as CFO. Andrew previously worked at the investment bank Rothschild, where he advised a range of clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. Andrew is a member of the 100 Group of Finance Directors and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and has a degree in law from Nottingham University.

Didier Lebrat

Didier Lebrat

Chief Technology Officer

Didier Lebrat joined Sky in December 2006 as Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he leads the technical strategy, development and operations for broadcast, IT, internet and network platforms. Before joining Sky, Didier worked at Vodafone Italy as Chief Technology Officer. Previously he was Chief Technical Officer at Orange UK and CTO for the Orange Group.

Graham McWilliam

Graham McWilliam

Group Director of Corporate Affairs

Graham McWilliam was appointed Group Director of Corporate Affairs in March 2008. He has responsibility for Sky’s Corporate Communications, Policy & Public Affairs and Internal Communications functions, and for our Bigger Picture activities. Graham was previously Director of Corporate Communications and Policy, and before that Deputy Head of Strategy. He joined Sky in April 2000 from the BBC where he was Head of Television Strategy.

David Rowe

David Rowe

Managing Director, Enterprise

As Managing Director, Enterprise. David Rowe is responsible for Sky’s business-to-business services across both television and telecoms, as well as the Sky Bet division. He was Chief Executive Officer of Easynet Group plc until it became part of Sky in January 2007.

Brian Sullivan

Brian Sullivan

Managing Director, Customer Group

Brian Sullivan is Managing Director of Sky’s Customer Group. In this role he has responsibility for marketing and sales across all routes to market, customer retention, product and pricing strategy, customer and field operations, and research and analysis. Brian joined Sky in February 1996 and has held a variety of roles within the business from the original Sky digital project through to product development and management for Sky+, Sky+HD, Sky Broadband and Sky Talk. Prior to joining Sky, Brian spent the majority of his career in the Pay TV industry in the US, primarily with Viacom’s Showtime Networks division.

Sophie Turner Laing

Sophie Turner Laing

Managing Director, Entertainment and News

Sophie Turner Laing has been Managing Director, Entertainment and News since July 2009, having previously been Managing Director, Entertainment since 2007. She has overall responsibility for Sky’s portfolio of entertainment and news channels including Sky1, Sky News, Sky Arts, Sky Real Lives, Sky Movies and Sky Box Office, as well as our Network Planning function and Sky Creative, which creates on-air promotions and design. Prior to joining Sky in March 2003, Sophie held a number of senior roles at Flextech and the BBC, after beginning her television career at Henson International Television.

Alun Webber

Alun Webber

Group Director of Strategic Project Delivery

Alun Webber was appointed Group Director of Strategic Project Delivery in July 2006. In this role he is responsible for Sky’s Broadcast Operations division and the delivery of major cross-functional projects. Between January 2008 and June 2009, Alun was also Managing Director of Amstrad Ltd, our product development and manufacturing subsidiary. He joined Sky in 1995 as Digital Development Manager and was appointed Group Director of Engineering & Platform Technology in 2002. Prior to joining Sky, Alun worked in Product Marketing at Texas Instruments.
